The next film from the makers of Rang De Basantis Rakeysh Om prakash Mehra is Delhi 6, a semi-autobiographical take on his younger days in Delhi, mainly set in the old lanes of Chandni Chowk. The film will be Mehra's third directorial venture after the immensely successful Rang De Basanti, which had been selected as India's official entry to the Oscars and critically acclaimed Aks.
Synopsis:
American-born Roshan (Abhishek Bachchan) brings his ailing grandmother (Waheeda Rehman) back to India. Little does he know that the quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life - a journey within. The backdrop of the story is the ancient walled city of Delhi, a character in herself. She represents the chaos, religion, beliefs and ethos of the Indian people. The pin code of the city is 110006, and with pride of love they call her Delhi-6.
