*indeed its the best drama in Pak history. I have been out of country for last 10 years. Not sure if they have more dramas like this one. I think i am seing this drama for the fifth times. Thanks to fighting falcon. Amazing episode.
*The scene is inspired by an actual mission. In a later episode, the hospital scene with Kashif with 1/3 body only, was actully the body of real life Cap. who was involved in the mission, wih Kashif's head on it. Chopper had room for only two that's why they were hanged down from it. God bless these sons of the land.

Conditions in Siachen are REALLY crucial in terms of weather and winds. So if the Captain was to sit on the skids, it would unbalance and put the whole plan to a total turmoil. Now, in order to balance the chopper, he used the Center Of Gravity formula that worked. Remember he mentioned the goat exxample to his officer and asked him what he meant ? :-)
*Yup your are BANG-ON right about that but i think the real mission happened in the 80s? Both those officers i.e.the one who hung on the rope and the one who lost both his arms and limbs are still alive and at the time of this drama were still serving in the ARMY :-)
*pm345: i think this "mission" happened in real life as well in late 60s or 70s. and they hang him wit rope coz of bad weather or something and IIRC real mission was done by Captain Naveed.
*I find this "mission" a little interesting. Why do they have to hang from the rope? The can sit on the helicopter skids and lower themselves when the reach their drop zone. That can't be the standard operating procedure?
