*They have been on tour as The Swell Season for 3-4 years, since their first album "The Swell Season" came out in early 2006. That album is very good as well. Marketa wrote a beautiful music piece which also named The Swell Season,
check it out.
*I know the names Marketa and Irglova and Glen Hansard...but who the fuck knows the name The Swell Season??? I've been dying to see them live since Once, they are apparently coming to Dallas tomorrow but who the fuck knew with the band name? I didn't know until I got a ticket alert via email and looked at the band picture. No telling the next time they come to Dallas. Anyone know how long they've been using that name?

*This session looked like a lot of fun, interacting with the small crowd in the back with the "string" vocals and whistling. Plus, Marketa looks beautiful, but somewhat uncomfortable and ready for it to be over.

*ok so the only music youve ever liked had a movie companion piece? Once is a great movie but its not the only reason to like these two. Music is music

*the only reason you don't think these songs are anywhere as good is because they weren't in the movie. trust me, i feel the same way, but i know why i feel the way i do. i have nothing to put the music with, there's no movie that made me fall in love with the music.
