Hansika Motwani (Telugu హన్సిక మొట్వాని; Hindi हंसीका मोटवानी), born August 9, 1991, in Mangaluru, India is an Indian actress and a former child artist.

Born in Mumbai, India, Hansika is currently completing her A levels same as 11 standards in Indian education Podar International School. Although Hansika knows a number of languages, she mainly speaks Tulu and Hindi.

She also took part in Celebrity Fame Gurukul, a singing competition among some other celebrities for charity. Though she was not a very good singer,more beautiful actresses Hansika noted that she accepted to be a part of the show because she wanted to do something for the children of Make-A-Wish Foundation ^[1].

Hansika made her debut as a heroine in Puri Jagannadh's Telugu film, Desamuduru opposite Allu Arjun. The film is about a crime reporter who falls in love with a sannyasi, played by Hansika ^[2]. She also has a Hindi film entitled He: The Only One in where she will be essaying the role of a killer, hell bent on taking revenge for her family.^[3] She has also signed a Tamil film, Sarvam, directed by Vishnuvardhan which will be a youthful love story.^[4]

Hansika made her debut as a leading actress in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story. She played the role of Himesh Reshammiya's lover Ria. The film was released on 29th June 2007 and became a moderate hit that now has made Hansika as a promising new comer of bollywood, and gave her the bright chances to participate in top ten leading bollywood actresses categories. There are rumours of the sequel of the film 'Aap ka suroor- 2' which is not yet confirmed.
