Preity went to police to complain about getting offensive messages for the past few days, through cell phone . Police had traced the cell phone callers in Pune and brought the culprits to Mumbai for questioning.   It appears that some 4-5 youths are playing this dirty game after obtaining the phone number purportedly from some bank data. The police has recorded their statement and since there was no ransom involved and those prankers don’t have any criminal records, police reprimand them and let them go with warning only.   However Preity is very annoyed with the cell phone service providers because of their failure to protect her privacy. Everybody is entitled to privacy, more so for celebrities. And moreover, sending one or two fan SMS messages is still ok but MMS and obscene messages … its Preity’s kind heart which the pranksters should be thankful to.     Divya Chawla
