In another sign of the growing thaw in the sub-continent, Pakistani actress Meera and Indian actor Sunjay Dutt will organise a fundraiser in India Feb 6 for tsunami victims.
The show, to be held in Mumbai, is expected to have several stars from both countries participating. Meera is likely to perform an item with Indian actor Salman Khan at the show.
Meera has roped in a number of Pakistani stars for the fundraiser including comedian Umar Sharif, singer Ahmed Jahanzeb and actor Moammar Rana, Daily Times reported Monday.
Meera, who has just completed two Bollywood films "Nazar" and "Kasak", will also participate in a charity cricket match in India a few days later.
The actress said she was respected and loved across the border and was thankful to the Indians and also the Indian high commission, which always arranged visas without any delays.
She termed the Indian film industry highly professional but regretted that the Pakistani film industry was still struggling to find its feet due to the lack of "professionalism".
The Bollywood film "Nazar" is directed by Mahesh Bhatt's wife Soni Razdan and also stars Ashmit Patel, brother of actress Amisha Patel.
The Rajiv Babbar-directed "Kasak" has Meera playing a negative role opposite singer Lucky Ali, son of late comedian Mehmood.
