Kareena Kapoor, often informally referred to as Bebo, is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood films. Born into a film family where both her parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita, and her elder sister Karisma were actors, Kapoor faced the media spotlight from a very young age. However, she did not make her acting debut until the 2000 film Refugee, which earned her the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award. Her melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham became India's highest grossing film in the overseas market in 2001 and is her biggest commercial success to date. After receiving negative reviews for a series of repetitive roles between 2002 and 2003, Kapoor accepted more demanding parts in order to avoid being typecast. Consequently, from 2004 to 2006 she was recognized by critics for displaying greater versatility. Her portrayal of a sex worker in Chameli (2004) proved to be the turning point in her career and garnered her the Filmfare Special Performance Award. She later received two Critics Awards for Best Actress at the Filmfare ceremony for her performances in the critically acclaimed Dev (2004) and Omkara (2006). In 2007, Kapoor earned a Filmfare Best Actress Award for her performance in the Imtiaz Ali directed romantic comedy film, Jab We Met. Although the box office earnings of her films have varied considerably, Kapoor has established herself as one of the leading contemporary actresses in the Hindi film industry. Kapoor's off-screen life is subject to wide media coverage in India with frequent press coverage of her and boyfriend, actor Saif Ali Khan and speculation of a possible marriage.

Kapoor
------

Kapoor or Kapur and sometimes but rarely Capoor is the name of a clan of Sikhs and Hindus belonging to the Khatri caste. They are part of the "Dhai Ghar", meaning two and a half houses. Kapurs, Malhotra (also called Mehras or Mehrotras), Khanna and Seth marry their children with each other. Kapoor can not marry a Kapoor but can only marry Malhotra, Khanna or Seth. This leaves three "Ghars" to marry out of which they are not supposed to marry any of their mother's side relatives with mother's paternal last name (it could be Khanna, Malhotra or Seth). Which makes it "Dhai Ghar Marriage that is why the word "Dhai Ghar". The clan hails originally from the Punjab region of the subcontinent of Asia. They are now spread across the world and the surname "Kapoor" or "Kapur" is a privileged one in India. It is believed anciently it was a privilege for a girl to get married in the Kapoor domain like Malhotra, Mehra, etc. Prominent families bearing this name include: The Maharajas of Burdwan in Bengal, detailed below. The Kapoor family of Bollywood, five generations of theatre and cinema personalities; Rai Bahadur Jankidas Kapur, who founded Atlas Cycles Ltd. in 1950 at Sonepat in present-day Haryana; Dr. Brij Mohan Kapoor, Professor Emeritus of Botany at St. Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Kapoor published over 200 papers and discovered a number of plant species. In addition, many notable contributors to modern Indian society belong to the Kapoor clan (see below). Kapoor Khatris claim Caucasian Avar and Chuvash ancestry.

Pashtun people
--------------

Pashtuns, also called Pathans or ethnic Afghans, are an Eastern Iranian ethno-linguistic group with populations primarily in Afghanistan, North-West Frontier Province (NWFP), Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Mianwali District, Attock District and in the Balochistan Province of Pakistan. The Pashtuns are typically characterized by their usage of the Pashto language and practice of Pashtunwali, which is an ancient traditional living by special codes that has been preserved until modern day. Pashtun society consists of many tribes and clans which were not politically united until the rise of the Hotaki followed by the Durrani Empire in the early-18th century. Pashtuns played a vital role during the Great Game from the 19th century to the 20th century as they were caught between the imperialist designs of the British and Russian empires. For over 300 years, they reigned as the dominant ethnic group in Afghanistan with nearly every ruler being a Pashtun. More recently, the Pashtuns gained worldwide attention during the 1980s Soviet war in Afghanistan and with the rise and fall of the Taliban, since they are the main ethnic contingent in the movement. Pashtuns are also an important community in Pakistan, where they have attained the presidency, high positions in the military, and are the second-largest ethnic group. The Pashtuns are the world's largest (patriarchal) segmentary lineage ethnic group. The total population of the group is estimated to be around 42 million, but an accurate count remains elusive due to the lack of an official census in Afghanistan since 1979. There are an estimated 60 major Pashtun tribes and more than 400 sub-clans.

Guzaarish
---------

Guzaarish is an upcoming Bollywood Indian film being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai in leading roles. The movie will revolve around the story of a married nurse (Aishwarya Rai) and the paraplegic, wheelchair-using patient (Hrithik Roshan), suffering from impairments of the motor and sensory functions of the lower limbs, with whom she falls in love. The first schedule for the film began in July 2009. It has been reported that both Hrithik and Aishwarya will sing a song for the movie together. The song will be recorded by Bhansali himself. This will be the first time Roshan will ever sing for a movie. It is said that he will now sing a song for his next releasing movie, Kites. The pair are said to be learning Portugese for the movie as well. Even though shooting for the film has just started, Guzaarish has so far been compared to Who's life is it anyway?(1981), The Sea Inside (2004), The Prestige (2006) and The Painted Veil (2006). Two of which tackle Euthanasia and Mercy Killing. Rai has previously worked with Bhansali in two hit films, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam(1999) and Devdas. Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai have starred in two movies together, Dhoom 2 and Jodhaa Akbar, both of which were successful. The two are known for displaying amazing on-screen chemistry.
